Expression through art is important and the teaching of key skills is integrated into our art curriculum. We encourage children to express their own feelings and to appreciate the creative expression of others.
At Holm Cultram Abbey CE Primary School, we aim to give children a wide variety of high quality art experiences, using a variety of media for drawing, painting, printing, collage and sculpture that engage and challenge our pupils. Our scheme includes aspects of appreciation, art history and experimentation. Artists and styles and cultures from around the world are studied. Our art lessons make learning fun and accessible for all pupils.
