Welcome to Reception!

Miss Pattinson is the class teacher, and is supported by Miss McKie, Miss Watters, Miss Irwin and Mrs. Harrison.  The class is currently made up of 5 children on a morning and on an afternoon they work together with the 15 children in Year 1 and Year 2.

Our school day is made up with a mixture of both adult-led, planned activities and child-led, continuous provision time. On a morning we do our morning activity, then we do phonics and reading. Then we do English using Drawing Club. After that we have snack, milk and break then do some maths input. On an afternoon we do a range of different activities based on our theme for that half term whilst spending time exploring our continuous provision too. Our theme is Dream big this term. 

The class have PE on a Friday afternoon. We occasionally have other sports coaches in, so look for information on this on the weekly bulletin. 

They also have forest schools on a Tuesday afternoon. 

The clubs we currently have running are a sports/ games club on a Monday and a craft club on a Thursday. 

We have lots of educational trips organised over the course of the year so keep an eye out on Class Dojo and the weekly bulletin for information regarding this.
