How can I help them at home?
Children are encouraged to read up to 5 times a week at home alongside their reading which they are doing in school. They will be set one piece of homework on a Friday which is either English, Maths or Topic. Each Friday the children will have a spelling test and be given their new spellings to learn for the following Friday.
Regular communication with the class teacher, Miss Pattinson, is encouraged. This will help parents to understand how they can help their child at home.
